The Mexican government vows to take legal action against the United States after six Mexican nationals were killed and seven more were injured in a mass shooting at an El Paso Walmart.

Foreign secretary Marcelo Ebrard announced the legal action in a video posted on his Twitter account. In the video, Ebrard described the El Paso shooting as “unacceptable.”

“Mexico declares its profound rejection and complete condemnation of this barbaric act, in which innocent Mexican men and women lost their lives,” Ebrard said.

Ebrard said the Mexican government will label suspected shooter Patrick Crusius a terrorist and aim to have him stand trial in Mexico.
